Q: What is a load-cell and why do they break?
Click to follow the link to Wikipedia for an in depth explanation

The most common type of load cell is the strain gauge type utilizing a change in resistance to detect weight on a scale

Causes for failure range from:
  • Water or chemical intrusion into circuitry
  • Overloading or shock loading a sensor can physically break the load cell
  • Electrical wiring from the cell can be crushed causing signal failure

Florida Industrial Scale sells extremely rugged load sensors designed for harsh environments to protect against damage in even the most demanding operations

Q: Can I weigh my truck, boat, RV, Moving Van, etc at your shop?
We currently do not have any vehicle weighing scales at our shop location, however we are happy to recommend our closest customer to your location that would be able to weigh your vehicle for a small fee.

Q: Do we sell used scales?
Sometimes we broker used scales for our customers.  Most of our customers opt to purchase new equipment after seeing the condition of used scales on the market.
